Google Cloud self-paced labs

  • Updated
  • This article covers Google Cloud self-paced labs powered by Qwiklabs—standalone, hands-on labs that let you build skills in real cloud environments separate from your own. These labs don’t require you to watch any video courses and typically take 30–90 minutes to complete. Qwiklabs uses activity tracking (external site, opens in new tab) to monitor your progress as you complete the lab activities. For other types of labs, see Labs overview. For Qwiklabs included in video courses, see Google Cloud in-course Qwiklabs.

    Finding Google Cloud labs

Note: Your Skills account doesn’t store information about your Qwiklabs activity or lab completion. If you’re on a team plan, your leader doesn’t have visibility into your usage of Qwiklabs.

You can find Google Cloud labs in the following areas within Skills:

Tip: Look for By Google Cloud under the lab title.

    Starting a Google Cloud lab

    1. Open the lab.
    2. The first time you navigate from Skills to a Qwiklabs environment, you'll see a Qwiklabs Redirect form with your information already filled out. This is where you create your Qwiklabs account. The email used to create your Qwiklabs account is the primary email address on your account. If you'd like to adjust your first or last name for your Qwiklabs account, you can do so at this point.
    3. You'll be directed to Qwiklabs to complete the lab. To return to Skills, close the Qwiklabs tab containing the Google Cloud lab.
