Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an additional layer of security available for your Pluralsight account. Enabling MFA requires a code from an authenticator app in addition to your password when you sign in to Pluralsight.
Important:
- MFA is optional and can only be enabled by individual users— it is not enforced at the plan level.
- MFA is not available for plans using Single Sign-On (SSO) or LTI integrations.
- MFA is not available for customers who migrated from A Cloud Guru to Pluralsight.

Signing in with MFA
From the login page (opens in new tab), enter your email address and password. You’ll be prompted to enter a code from your authenticator app. Enter the code and click Verify.
Session timeout and device recognition
Even with MFA enabled, you’ll automatically be signed out after 3 hours of inactivity. This is a security measure to help protect your account.
Listing or remembering a device in your account settings doesn’t prevent this automatic sign-out. After the timeout, you’ll need to enter your password and MFA code to sign back in.
