Resetting or updating your password

Whether you've forgotten your credentials or just want to make your Pluralsight account more secure, there are a few ways you can change your password.

Note: If you're on a plan with single sign-on (SSO) enabled, you may not have a password that can be reset. Reach out to your plan admin with any questions.

  • Forgot password

    To request a password reset:

    1. Navigate to Pluralsight (opens in new tab).
      • If you’re not signed in, click Forgot password? on the sign-in page.
      • If you’re already signed in to your account, click your avatar in the navigation menu, click Account settings, and click Forgot password? in the Password section.
    2. Enter your email address and click Send email.
    3. Check your inbox for an email from Pluralsight.
    4. Follow the link in the email, then enter and confirm your new password. Your password must be at least eight characters long and include a number, a special character, and both uppercase and lowercase letters.
    5. Sign in with your new credentials.

    Update password

If you're already signed in to your Pluralsight account and know your current password, you can update it through your Account page (opens in new tab) using these steps.

    1. Click your avatar in the navigation menu, then click Account settings.
    2. Scroll to the Password section.
    3. Enter your current password and your new password. Your new password must be at least 8 characters long and include a number, a special character, and both uppercase and lowercase letters.
    4. Click Update.

    Forgot email address

If you’ve forgotten the email address used to create your account, please contact Pluralsight Support with the following details (if applicable):

    • Your first and last name
    • How you signed up for the account
    • The last 4 digits of the credit card registered to your account
  • If you created your account with the recommended email and password sign-in option on ACG, you can reset your password.

Important: If your account was created using a social media account or a Single Sign-On (SSO) provider, you don't have a password to change with ACG. You'll need to update your credentials with your sign-in provider instead.

    Forgot password

    1. Go to the ACG sign-in page (opens in new tab).
    2. Click Forgot password?
    3. Enter your email on the next page and click Send Email.
    4. Check your email for a reset link.
    5. Follow the link in the email, then enter and confirm your new password.
    6. Click Change password.

You’ll see a message that your password has been changed.

Common solutions

If you don't receive your reset email within a couple minutes, try the following options.

  • Check your spam folder. Even the most organized email accounts can fall victim to the ravenous spam bin.
  • If you came over from ACG, try signing in with a social media account. It's possible that you created your account using one of these—doesn’t hurt to check.
  • Contact Pluralsight Support. If all else fails, our support team can verify which email you used to create your account. However, if you use SSO to sign in, you’ll have to contact your SSO provider for reset instructions.
