In this article, you’ll learn how to use paths to take the guesswork out of upskilling—so you can stay on track and spend less time figuring out what to learn next.

Paths are curated collections of courses and resources designed to help you master a specific skill area. They combine courses and other tools such as Skill IQ Prep and Verified assessments into one structured learning experience—for beginners or beyond. Most paths are organized into levels like Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, so you can learn in the right order and at the right pace.

Exploring paths

Open the paths page by clicking Paths in the navigation menu. If you have started a path, you’ll see your progress under Pick up where you left off. You can add a path in progress to a channel or copy its link by clicking the three dots menu.

You can browse through available paths using the paths filters. Explore what’s available to you by path type, category, assessment type, subject, certification, or path duration. You can also sort results by title, latest, duration, and progress. You can use the search bar to find a specific path by title or certification exam number.

Path cards let you see at a glance more information about that path. Paths cards contain the following information:

• Path type (skills or certification path)
• Path title, including the exam number for certification paths
• Date path was created or updated
• Path duration
• Assessment tag, if an assessment is attached to the path
• Progress bar and percentage, if you’ve started a path
• Freshness tag, if the path is new or has been recently updated

Click the three dots menu to add a path to a channel or to copy its link. To see a path’s contents, click on the path card.

Path details page

On a path details page, you’ll see the content you’ll be learning.

1. Assessment tag: appears if an assessment is part of the path.
2. Path progress indicator: shows how much of the path you’ve completed.
3. Share buttons: add the path to a channel or share on social media
4. Content type indicator: shows type and number of content pieces in the path. The top number shows how many pieces of content have been viewed or completed.
5. Updated date: when the path was last updated.
6. Duration: how long it takes to watch course content.
7. About this path tab: shows additional background information for the path like what you’ll learn and any path pre-requisites.
8. Content card: indicates the type of content, its length, and if you have completed or passed it.
9. Section progress indicator: shows how much of a section you’ve completed.

Syncing your path progress

Your path progress updates as you complete courses within it. However, if you watch a course outside the path — such as through search or in a channel — it may not be tracked automatically.

To sync your progress:

• Open the path.
• Locate the course you watched.
• Click into it to register it as viewed within the path.
