Downloading the app
Download the Pluralsight app from the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV or the Google Play store on your Android TV. Search for Pluralsight to install the app.
If the Pluralsight app does not appear in search results on your Fire TV, your device may not be compatible with the app. View the Pluralsight app in the Amazon Appstore (opens in new tab) on a desktop browser while logged in to your Amazon account to see a list of your devices and their compatibility with the app. Check our list of supported mobile and offline systems for alternatives.
Logging in to the app
There are two ways to log in to the Android or Fire TV app: with your email and password, or by authorizing your device with a code.
Log in with email and password
- Open the app.
- Enter your email and password.
- Click Sign in.
Log in with device authorization
If your organization uses single sign-on (SSO) to log in to Pluralsight, log in to the TV app with device authorization. You can also use device authorization if you would prefer not to log in with your email and password.
Important: Each device should only be authorized once. Before authorizing a new device, check the Devices tab on the Account page (opens in new tab) for a list of your authorized devices, and click Remove next to any duplicates.
- Open the app and click Sign in with code.
- Take note of the six-digit code that appears on your TV and go to pluralsight.com/auth (opens in new tab) on a browser.
- If you are not logged in to Pluralsight on the browser, log in with your credentials.
- On your Devices page, enter the six-digit code in the Security code field under Authorized devices.
- Click Add device.
Tip: To get to your Account page in Skills from a browser, click your avatar in the top right corner, click Account settings, and click the Devices tab.
TV app features
With the app, search the Pluralsight Skills library and watch video courses. You also have access to paths and bookmarks. These features appear in the app once you use them on any device.
Note: Channels and notes are not available on the Android/Fire TV app. Log in to Skills on your browser to manage channels or take notes within a course.
Watching video courses
Use the search bar at the top of the app to search the course library, or find a course from your Recent courses, New courses, Recommended, Bookmarks, or Paths from the left-hand menu. Click a course to view the course details page, and click Watch to begin playing the course. To view the course’s table of contents, scroll down or click Contents on the course details page.
Note: Playback speed can't be adjusted on the Android TV or Fire TV app.
Bookmarking a course
To bookmark a course, click Bookmark on the course details page. Click Remove bookmark to remove the course from your bookmarks. To access your bookmarked courses at any time, open the left-hand menu and click Bookmarks.
Downloading courses (Fire TV only)
With a paid Skills subscription, you can download up to 30 courses, provided your device has enough available space. If your device runs out of space or you no longer wish to have a course downloaded, you can remove it.
