Now that you've set up your Flow plan, it's time to review your data. One of the most important steps to get you ready for launch is taking a look at your data and making sure it aligns to your goals and expectations before you launch to your team.
Understand your data
Congrats! Your data is in Flow. You've established some goals and you're getting ready to launch. But before you do, now is the time to pause and take stock of where you are and what Flow is showing you.
For some of you, this is the first time you're seeing your data in one place like this. And even if you've looked at your data before in your other systems, you're likely to see something new and exciting in Flow.
Now is a great time to go through questions like:
Does your data look like what you expected? How do you know?
Is there any data you expected to see that you don't?
Do any settings need to be adjusted?
What patterns can you see that you weren't expecting?
What patterns can you see that match what you were expecting?
Make sure you understand where your data is coming from and how it is showing up in your plan. Ask questions of the Deployment team if you see anything you aren't sure of. The better you understand your data now, the better you will be able to use Flow for your best interests.
With this information, review your goals from before—do they still seem like the best goals to pursue? Are there any unexpected data points that should be addressed first? Use this first glimpse of data to adjust any expectations you had.
Tip: Not sure where to start? Remember why you started on this journey in the first place and use that as your guide. Refer back to your answers in What to know before you Flow if you need to.
As an example, sometimes seeing data in Flow reveals bottlenecks you may not have seen before, or issues with data quality. While your initial goals are important, if your data is telling a different story, you need to reconcile the two.
Now that you've set up your Flow plan, it's time to review your data and goals to make sure you're ready for launch.
