Note: Microsoft Azure's Exam Direct Policies and FAQ page can be found at Exam policies and FAQ (opens in new tab). It covers absolutely everything to do with the Azure exams.

Please always check the official Microsoft Azure FAQs page for any recent changes! We always try to update our FAQ to match as soon as possible, but we're not alerted immediately to independent test taking policy changes.

What exams are available for Azure?

There are quite a few exams available for Azure! You can find a list of the certification exams offered by Azure by going here (opens in new tab).

Once you find the exam you are ready to take - go ahead and click into it for more information!

How do I schedule an exam?

Once you are in the Learn more page of the exam you are ready to sit for, you will see the exam number, published date, cost associated with the exam and a Schedule exam link.

Be sure you've chosen the correct exam! It will save you a lot of time and heartache in the long run.

When ready, click the Schedule exam link.

You will need a Microsoft Learning profile, which requires authentication with a Microsoft personal account like Live/Outlook/Hotmail. An Office 365 account won’t work.

Finally, you will see that you can choose where/how you will take the exam. Please choose the best option for you and it will send you through the appropriate prompts. If doing a test center, double check the date, time and address before finalizing!

How do I cancel or reschedule my exam?

When you're in your Pearson VUE Home - here (opens in new tab) - you will see your upcoming appointments.

Click on the exam name you'd like to reschedule or cancel, click reschedule or cancel, then it will prompt you to choose a new date and time or confirm your cancellation! You can check that it's been rescheduled or cancelled by going back into your home page under appointments.

Per the official Microsoft Azure page; as of May 1, 2017 There is no charge if you reschedule or cancel an exam appointment at least 6 business days prior to your appointment. If you cancel or reschedule your exam within 5 business days of your registered exam time, a fee will be applied. If you fail to show up for your exam appointment or you don’t reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, you forfeit your entire exam fee. Business days are Monday-Friday, not including Pearson VUE global holidays.

Please always check the official Microsoft Azure FAQs page for any recent changes! We always try to update our FAQ to match as soon as possible, but we're not alerted immediately to independent test taking policy changes.
