Flow offers several filters to help you find what you need quickly and easily. In this article, we’ll show you the different filters and how they work.
Filter reports by user or team
You can filter your reports by users and teams. The Team and User filters are located at the top of each report page.
Use the Team and User filters to find the team, nested team, or user you want to view. The ability to filter teams and users is based on your view rights. For example, if your view rights limit you to viewing only your data, then you will not be able to search for other users. Read more about view rights.
The team filter has tabs and a search feature to help you find the teams you care about.wt. Once a team is selected, that team will be the filter default for your next login and other reports you navigate to.
The Recent tab shows the last ten teams you selected in the filter, listed alphabetically. This tab can be useful for users who are not on teams, but have a set of teams they review often.
The My teams tab shows the teams you are on.
The All teams tab shows all of the teams for which you have permission to view.

The User filter has tabs and a search feature to help you find the users you want to view. Once a user is selected, that user will be the filter default for the next login and other reports you navigate to.
The Recent tab shows the users most recently selected in the filter. This tab can be useful for users who are not on teams, but have a set of users they view regularly.
The My teams’ users tab shows all the users on your teams.
The All users tab shows all users within your organization that you have permission to see.
These are default settings for the user and team filters:
If there are no teams yet created at the organization, the default view shows Recently active users.
If the user is not on a team or does not have access to view teams, the filter defaults to the individual user’s metrics.
If the user is on a team, the filter defaults to the first team the user is on.
Nested Teams & Reports
A nested team in Flow is any team that has one or more child teams nested under the parent team. If you haven't created teams, learn more about creating teams. Use a nested team structure to reflect your company's hierarchy and to manage teams more effectively. Find an overview of how your nested teams will appear in Flow. In any report you can view the parent team including or excluding users in child teams, or you can view the parent team and or child team separately.
Filter by parent team
Locate the parent team in the team drop down in any report:
You can exclude or include the users from the child team by using the nested teams filter:
Excluded will only show you users that are on the parent team (Team A)
Included will show you all users across the parent team and any child team.
Filter by child team
Select the child team from the team drop down in any report.
The nested team filter will not change your results unless you have a nested team under the selected child team.
