GitHub: Basic Authentication Deprecation Notice

Tags: Flow

For security reasons, GitHub is deprecating the username and password authentication method in November 2020. Read more from GitHub about deprecating password authentication.

To ensure your data continues to update and process without interruption, we encourage you to change your authentication method for GitHub integrations to OAuth or Access Token as soon as possible.

To change your authentication method, click on your GitHub or GitHub Enterprise integration from your Integrations page.

Click Edit next to your name on the integrations detail page.

Update your authentication method by connecting via OAuth or Access Token, then click Update. For more information about these authentication methods, read more about importing repos from cloud git hosts.

If you were successful in updating your authentication method, you will be redirected back to the integration details page and receive a Successfully updated message.
