Pluralsight Skills Individual Accounts and Business Plans

Tags: Skills

Within Pluralsight Skills, each user has an Account that can be joined to a Business Plan. This can create different scenarios surrounding Terms of Use, Privacy Notice, and Data ownership.

For Accounts that are only used for Individual Subscriptions, the account owner is the individual who owns the email registered under the account. Account accepts and is responsible to adhere to Pluralsight’s Individual Terms of Use (opens in new tab) and Privacy Notice (opens in new tab).

Accounts that are joined to Business Plans accept their company’s Terms of Use, Data Processing Agreement, and any other agreement their company has in place. This could include data retention policies that could delete Accounts even after an Account has been removed from the business plan. In the absence of any company policies, Accounts must accept and are responsible to adhere to Pluralsight’s Business Terms of Use (opens in new tab) and Privacy Notice (opens in new tab).

If a user joins or creates an Account joined to a Business Plan, the user could add a personal email address to their Account. Adding a personal email address to an Account could allow you to retain your Account in the event your Account is removed from the Business Plan.

Please note, adding additional email addresses to an Account could be disabled by the Business Plan. Also, adding an personal email address to the account does not guarantee that an individual can retain their account and could be deleted by the Business Plan.
