Using the same email address with your Pluralsight and ACG accounts

Pluralsight and A Cloud Guru (ACG) are joining forces to provide you with access to more content than ever before. As the ACG platform starts to fold into Pluralsight, you’ll continue having access to the same Pluralsight content and services you’ve always had, as long as you don’t change your plan.

If you use the same email address with both of your Pluralsight and ACG accounts, you have a few options to consider.

What's happening with my accounts?

Important: If you have accounts with both Pluralsight and ACG, but they do not share the same email address, you don’t need to take any action. Your accounts will remain separate by default.

If you want to keep your individual accounts separate, use a different email address for each. Change one of your accounts to an alternate email address.

I have an individual account on ACG and a Pluralsight employer/business-provided account.

Yes

If you want to keep your individual and business accounts separate, you must change your ACG individual account email to a personal email address right away.

Or, you must remove/change the personal email address within your Pluralsight employer/business-provided account.

If you prefer to merge your individual and business accounts, then you can leave your emails as they are, or you can opt in to sharing data from your individual ACG account with the administrators of your Pluralsight employer/business-provided account. I have an individual account on Pluralsight and an ACG employer/business-provided account.

Yes

If you want to keep your individual and business accounts separate, you must change your Pluralsight individual account email to a personal email address within 30 days of receiving your data-sharing email. Or, you must change the personal email address within your ACG employer/business-provided account within 30 days of receiving your data-sharing email.

If you prefer to merge your individual and business accounts, then you can leave your emails as they are, or you can opt-in to sharing data from your individual Pluralsight account with the administrators of your ACG employer/business-provided account. What does it mean if I opt in to merge my data?

Opting in to share data with your employer/business sponsor is permanent and cannot be undone.

Additionally:

  • Your employer/business sponsor will become the controller of your individual Pluralsight account and your personal data.
  • Your employer/business sponsor will have access to all your learner data, such as your course history and activity from your individual Pluralsight Skills account in their dashboard. Under no circumstances will any kind of personal payment info tied to your individual account be shared.
  • Merging your two accounts also means that because your employer/business sponsor owns the merged data, if you decide to leave your current company, your company does not renew their subscription, or your company elects to delete your personal data from the account, you’d permanently lose access to your learner data (including course history).
  • In the event that any portion of your individual Pluralsight Skills account content is not included as a part of your ACG employer/business-provided account, (whether now or in the future), you (and not your employer/business sponsor) will remain responsible for any costs associated with the non-included content.
