What is happening with my ACG account?
A Cloud Guru is making changes to help us bring our platform together with Pluralsight for an enhanced user experience. This is an exciting change as it enables us to provide more content to users. Our llamas will be wandering across to eat the grass on the Pluralsight farm, which means extra awesomeness for all!
Is anything changing with my account?
You will continue to have access to everything you have access to today on ACG, as long as you don’t change your plan. No changes are being made at this time.
Do the upcoming changes mean that I will have access to other Pluralsight products moving forward?
No, this initiative will not impact your current account access. Accounts will continue to have the same levels of access as before, but this enables us for future updates. More details to come!
I have an account on both A Cloud Guru and Pluralsight. What happens then?
I have two accounts with the same email address
Type of accounts | Are the email addresses the same? | Action to take |
---|---|---|
I have an individual account on ACG, and an individual account on Pluralsight but no employer/business-provided account with either ACG or Pluralsight | Yes | If you want to keep your individual accounts separate, you must change your ACG individual account email to one that is different from your primary and/or secondary email in your Pluralsight individual account within 30 days of receiving your data sharing email. |
I have an individual account on ACG, and a Pluralsight employer/business-provided account | Yes | If you want to keep your individual and business accounts separate, you must change your ACG individual account email to a personal email address within 30 days of receiving your data sharing email. Or, you must remove/change the personal email address within your Pluralsight employer/business-provided account within 30 days of receiving your data sharing email. If you prefer to merge your individual and business accounts, then you can leave your emails as they are or you can opt in to sharing data from your individual ACG account with the administrators of your Pluralsight employer/business-provided account. Go to the ACG account merge terms (opens in new tab) to opt in, or contact Support. |

I appear to have an ACG or Pluralsight account already but I don’t remember creating one. What should I do?
If you are trying to create a new Pluralsight or ACG account and received an error saying that your email is already in use, please see our Pluralsight/ACG account management FAQ for next steps.
What does it mean if I opt-in to share data?
Opting in to share data with your employer/business sponsor is PERMANENT AND CANNOT BE UNDONE.
Additionally:
- Your employer/business sponsor will become the controller of your individual Pluralsight or ACG account and your personal data.
- Your employer/business sponsor will have access to all of your learner data, such as your course history and activity from your individual Pluralsight Skills or ACG account in their dashboard. Under no circumstances will any kind of personal payment info tied to your individual account be shared.
- Merging your two accounts also means that because your employer/business sponsor owns the merged data, if you decide to leave your current company, your company does not renew their subscription, or your company elects to delete your personal data from the account, you’d permanently lose access to your learner data (including course history).
- In the event that any portion of your individual Pluralsight Skills or ACG account content is not included as a part of your ACG or Pluralsight Skills employer/business-provided account, (whether now or in the future), you (and not your employer/business sponsor) will remain responsible for any costs associated with the non-included content.
How will my shared data be shared/managed with Pluralsight?
The data associated with your individual ACG account (the account tied to your email address), which will be processed by Pluralsight, as well as your activity on the Pluralsight platform, will be governed by Pluralsight’s Terms of Use (opens in new tab)and Pluralsight’s Privacy Notice (opens in new tab) in addition to the existing ACG Terms of Use & Privacy Notice (opens in new tab).
What happens if I don’t want to share my information with Pluralsight?
If you do not want to share your information with Pluralsight, you can request that your account be permanently closed and your personal data be deleted by following the steps listed in our account deletion article.
Note: You can only request that an individual account be closed. You cannot request the closure of an employer/business-provided account. To request that your data be deleted from an employer/business-provided account, contact them directly.
