What browsers and operating systems does Pluralsight support?

To use Pluralsight and watch Pluralsight videos, we recommend using the following browsers and applications. Please be sure to be on the latest version for each:

  • Windows 7, 8, 10 and MacOS:
    • Internet Explorer 11
    • Microsoft Edge
    • Firefox
    • Chrome
    • Safari
  • We do not support:
    • Opera

Pluralsight videos will work natively on Linux on a browser, since we stream videos through HTML5. Depending on your version of Linux, you might run into codec issues. The Pluralsight offline player does not work on Linux at this time.

We use a h.264/.mp4 codec and video format, as well as webm. If mp4 doesn't work on your system, you can toggle this to webm in the video player by clicking the settings cogwheel icon in the bottom right, and selecting Format: WEBM.

To use Mentoring, we recommend Chrome or Firefox. We do not support versions prior to Internet Explorer 11. Users of Edge or Safari may not have the full experience and will need to use Zoom for screen sharing, which you can access through our Mentoring feature.
