For team plans using single sign-on (SSO), auto-provisioning is a feature that allows users on that plan to simply log in via SSO for the first time to create an account and have a license automatically assigned to them. However, if auto-provisioning is disabled, a plan admin must manually invite new users via email from the People page.
This article contains instructions for plan admins to invite new learners onto SSO plans without auto-provisioning, and instructions for learners to accept the invite and join the plan.

Inviting new learners as a plan admin
If you’re a plan admin, follow these steps to invite a new learner:
- Click People in the left-pane navigation.
- Click Invite new user.
- In the pop-up that appears, enter the email(s) of the user(s) you want to invite and assign them to teams.
Note: When auto-provisioning is turned off, a plan admin must delete any domains that have been approved in the Invite via link tab of the Add new user pop-up.
Accepting an invitation as a learner
Once the plan admin has sent the invitation, here’s how you accept the invitation and join the plan as a learner.
Important: If 1) you've never had a Skills account, 2) you're on a plan with auto-provisioning disabled, and 3) you attempt to access Skills via SSO directly instead of by the email invite, you'll get a No account found error. You'll need to accept the email invite and follow the steps below to create an account.
- Check your email inbox for an email from Pluralsight. If you don’t see one, check your spam folder and be sure to adjust your filter to accept future emails from pluralsight.com.
- Click Accept invite in the email.
- On the account creation page that appears, enter your information, choosing Sign in if you have an existing account or filling in your information under Create your account.
Important: When you arrive at the account creation page, the Company email field will be pre-populated with your email address. You cannot change the email address in this field.
The steps to redeem a license may be different for learners who have an existing Skills account, but are not yet tied to the plan. Follow the steps in our article on how to accept an invitation when you already have an account.
Note: Some users may need to set a password during the license redemption process. For SSO plans that opt to disable passwords for their users, the password created during the invite redemption process will not be used after account creation. If you try to log in with a username and password, you will receive a message saying your password is disabled.
Logging in after accepting the invitation
Once you successfully redeem your license, you can access Skills via your organization's SSO app catalog, if applicable, or through the SSO-enabled URL provided by Pluralsight. The URL will look something like app.pluralsight.com/sso/organizationname. If you prefer, you can also access Skills via SSO from pluralsight.com directly. See Logging in to Pluralsight using SSO for instructions.
