Content and features
Skills content
Pluralsight offers a variety of content in various learning formats on Skills, including video courses, labs, and sandboxes. Our content is designed to keep you and your team up-to-date on current technologies and frameworks that will help your organization stay ahead in a rapidly changing industry.
The best way to understand what’s covered in the Skills course library is to browse our content (opens in new tab). We have thousands of expert-led courses and hands-on experiences in AI, cloud, data, software development, IT ops, security, and more—with new content added every day.

Assessments and skill measurement
Learning checks throughout video courses are a quick way for learners to check their comprehension. Skill IQ and Role IQ are holistic tools that help leaders measure their team’s progress and point towards content that will strengthen skill gaps.
Skill IQ assessments are adaptive tests that take less than five minutes and assign learners a proficiency level in a particular skill. Roles are collections of Skill IQ assessments that correspond to a real-world job role—and if your plan includes custom roles, leaders can customize roles to best fit the needs of your organization.

Integrations
Skills isn't a Learning Management System (LMS) designed to simply house content—it’s a tech skill development platform that measures and evolves the skills your organization needs to achieve strategic goals. But Skills can integrate with many LMSs and content aggregators, including SumTotal, SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, Absorb, Pathgather and Degreed. Our Professional Services team can help your Skills plan integrate with other LMSs depending on the integration capabilities of the LMS.
Team management
User roles
On a Skills team plan, you can be a learner, a team manager, or a plan admin. You can also wear multiple hats, such as managing a team while also being a learner yourself. See What’s my role? for details.
Curation and assigning content
Channels, paths, priorities, and roles help leaders organize their teams’ journey. Channels provide the most flexible customization when it comes to curating and organizing content you want your team members to learn. Create a channel, add members, and watch as their skills improve.
Channels can contain courses, labs, paths, and external links. Plan admins can feature certain channels in their learners’ channel experience, and even automatically add new team members to a channel.

Analytics
Plan admins and team managers can view critical analytics around their learners’ experience in Skills. For example, they can explore their learners’ Skill IQ levels and most-watched subjects and content, see which channels are getting the most views, and keep track of license count at a glance.
The following analytics reports are available to leaders, depending on your team plan.

Pricing and billing
Team plans vs. individual subscriptions
Team plans are designed for organizations working to skill up one or more teams. Giving your team access to Skills helps you promote from within your existing workforce, prepare your team for a specific project or skills transformation, and foster a learning culture within your organization. Team management and analytics features also help you monitor your teams’ success and work towards strategic goals.
Individual subscriptions are designed for those working to skill up on their own—whether preparing for a job search, planning a career change, advancing in their role, or just wanting to learn something new.
Note: Accounts are personal to the learner using them and cannot be shared or reused. Reusing or sharing accounts violates our Terms of Use (opens in new tab).

Pricing and discounts
See the pricing page (opens in new tab) for current pricing. If you want to try before you buy, set up a Skills team pilot for free.
We offer team plan discounts depending on the number of licenses purchased. To learn more about volume pricing, please contact Pluralsight Sales (opens email form).
User licenses
Unsure how many licenses you should purchase? It depends how many people in your organization will be using Skills as learners.
- A plan license is the base license type that gives learners access to paid content in Skills. When you purchase licenses at checkout or add them to your existing plan, these are plan licenses.
- Plan admins and team managers don’t need a plan license in order to manage teams or curate content for learners, but they do need a plan license to access paid content (remember that admins and managers can be learners themselves). By default, admins and managers aren’t assigned a plan license when they join a plan.
- You can also purchase add-on licenses for your learners. A learner must have a plan license in order to be assigned an add-on license. For example, if you have five people on your team, you’ll need five plan licenses to give them access to Skills. If you want two of those people to have access to labs, you’ll need to purchase an additional two labs licenses through Pluralsight Sales (opens email form).
Add or remove licenses from your plan as needed. If someone leaves your organization, you can revoke their license, but the number of times you can reassign a license to another learner is subject to your organization's agreement with Pluralsight.
