Custom Learning Paths are course lists curated by admins or team managers to guide learners on their learning journey. These can be used in addition to learning paths created by A Cloud Guru.
Note: Custom Learning Paths are exclusive to the Business Plus membership.

Creating a custom learning path
To create a custom learning path:
- Click Manage your team, then Learning paths to navigate to the business dashboard (opens in new tab).
- Click Learning paths at the top of the business dashboard.
- On the learning paths page, click Create path.
- Name your path and give it a description.
- Use the search bar to find and filter content by courses, hands-on labs, or practice exams.
- Click the learning content, then click Select All to add it to your path.

Tick the checkbox next to sections of content within a course to add to your path. - Continue to add content. Selected content appears below the title and description.
- Click Save Draft.
Publishing a custom learning path
Important: Publishing makes your path available to all users in your organization. After a page is published, you can’t return it to draft state or unpublish it.
To publish a learning path:
- Open a learning path that is in draft from the learning paths page (opens in new tab). Paths in draft have [Draft Path] in their title.
- Click the three-dot menu, then click Preview learner view to see how the path will look to your learners. This opens in a new tab.
- Return to the path builder tab and click Publish. This opens a dialog box.
- Review your title and description and make changes, as needed.
- Click Publish. This takes you to the management page for the path you just published.

Click Publish and add users. This will open a dialog box.- Add users by ticking the checkbox next to their name. You can use the Role or Team filters or the search
- Click Exit Path Builder to return to the learning paths page to continue adding content to your path.
Note: You can add learners at any time by clicking Manage next to your path on the learning paths page.
Editing a custom learning path
Draft path
To edit a path in draft:
- On the learning paths page (opens in new tab), click the draft of your path to go to the search page. This opens the Path Builder page.
- Add content by using the search bar to find and filter content by courses, hands-on labs, or practice exams.
- Click the garbage can icon next to learning material already in your path you want to remove.
- Click Save Changes.
- Exit the Path Builder or publish the draft path by clicking Publish.
Published path
To edit a path that is published:
- On the learning paths page (opens in new tab), click Manage next to your published path.
- Click the dropdown Actions menu on your path page, then click Edit Path. This opens the Path Builder page.
- Add content by using the search bar to find and filter content by courses, hands-on labs, or practice exams.
- Click the garbage can icon next to any learning material you want to remove.
- Click Save updates, then click Publish updates.
Assigning learners to a custom learning path
Important: You can only add learners once you’ve published your path.
To add learners to your path:
- On the learning paths page (opens in new tab), click Manage next to your published path.
- Click Add Students.
- Use the search and filter features to find learners to add to your path.
- Tick the checkbox next to the learners you want to add.
- Click Add to Path.
Once assigned, students will see the path on their dashboard and will also receive an email confirmation.
