Pluralsight hosts a wide range of content that covers in-demand topics such as cloud, AI, software development, security, and more. Our authors and content teams work diligently to ensure that the courses, hands-on experiences, paths, and assessments in our libraries represent the cutting edge of the technology space.
In this article, we’ll cover tips on how to find the learning resources you’re looking for and how content is maintained.

New content
We publish new, high-quality content on Skills almost daily. Use the search bar in Skills to discover new content, or go to the Browse all page (opens in new tab) to view your entire library.
To discover new content:
- Sort your search results by Newest.
- Be on the lookout for any content labeled New throughout Skills. This indicates the content was published in the last six months.
- The date shown in search results is the date a piece of content was last reviewed, updated, or created.
- Further filter your results by things like content type, topic, and job role.
Tip: If you’re interested in new content published by a specific author, click the author’s name and follow them to receive in-app and email notifications about new releases. You can manage these updates in your communication preferences (opens in new tab).
New Skill IQs
If a Skill IQ assessment is marked as BETA, this means we’re still collecting data to calibrate the assessment for accuracy. See Introduction to Skill IQ for details.
Updated content
Keeping our existing content fresh is a priority, and we regularly review and update courses, labs, paths, and assessments with new information.
Even if a popular course was first published years ago, it’s been maintained to include the latest version or release of a technology or product, or to keep up with how the course topic has changed over time.
The date shown on content throughout Skills, such as in search results and on the course details page, indicates the most recent date the course was published, reviewed and verified to be up-to-date, or updated with new material.
Retired content
To keep our library current, we retire material that’s no longer relevant. Content on Skills is typically retired for one or more of the following reasons:
- New content has been created to replace it.
- There’s another piece of content in our library that better fulfills that need.
- The technology the content relates to is obsolete.
- The content is outdated.
If content has been retired, you’ll see a notification banner on the details page, and a link to a newer version if one exists.
Retired content is still visible in your learning history, paths, and channels, but it doesn’t appear in standard search results.
Note: Replacing retired content in channels decreases the channel completion rate for learners who have already completed that content. Be sure to notify your learners if you want them to complete the new version.
When searching for content, you can click the Show retired results toggle to display retired results that match your search.
Important: Retired content is no longer supported or maintained, and could be removed from Skills. If you’re a plan admin or team manager, we don’t recommend using this content when building your learners’ curriculum.
Suggesting course content
We're always open to feedback. If you have any suggestions for new content—small or large—let us know. We’re also interested to hear what you want to see more of in courses, hands-on labs, paths, and assessments. If there’s a topic or technology you don’t see covered, contact our Support team with your suggestion—it could be that we’re working on something already.
In ACG, you can send feedback from within any lesson by clicking the thumbs up/thumbs down icons. In Skills, click the gear icon in the video player and click Send Feedback. You can also use our contact form:
- Contact Pluralsight Support.
- Click Contact Skills or Contact ACG.
- Fill out all required fields.
- In the Why are you reaching out to us? field, choose I have a question or feedback.
- In the Select an option that best describes your request field, choose Feedback/feature request.
- In the What would you like to send us feedback about? field, choose Course content.
- Add a description of your course suggestion(s). You may also attach any relevant files, such as screenshots.
- Click Submit once finished.
ACG courses and hands-on labs
With the acquisition of A Cloud Guru (ACG), we’re integrating the Skills and ACG libraries to offer customers even more options when it comes to learning content. In some cases, this means retiring content in favor of more current, feature-rich material. Here’s what you can expect:
- ACG’s video course library will be included in select future Pluralsight offerings, including the Skills Everything plan.
- Skills learners have access to a select number of cloud certification courses from ACG. See Limited ACG certification courses for Skills for a full list.
- Skills cloud labs were removed in favor of ACG’s more current and comprehensive Hands-on cloud labs, which Skills customers with the labs add-on can access at no additional cost. Other types of Skills labs are unaffected. See Hands-on labs: getting started for details.
- ACG learners automatically have access to the Skills free library, as well as Skill IQ and Role IQ. See what you can access with a free account.
Check out the Integration hub for the latest on the Skills and ACG integration.
