As we bring together the Pluralsight and A Cloud Guru platforms, ACG customers are migrating to an integrated experience on Pluralsight. Once you’re migrated to one of our updated plans, enjoy features and content from both platforms in a single experience.
Content on Pluralsight is presented in a more modular format than on ACG. This allows for more customization when building learning journeys through channels or starting a path. In this article, we’ll go over what ACG content is joining the Pluralsight library, as well as key differences in how you’ll experience this content.
Note: If you’re an admin on an ACG business plan or you have a personal membership, we’ll send you an email with information about your migration date and what actions you need to take.
Video courses
ACG courses
Courses on ACG are divided into chapters, and each chapter contains video lessons. Each chapter might also include quizzes, labs, and practice exams, which can be searched for and taken individually, but also appear directly within courses.
There are two kinds of courses in ACG:
- Longer courses (50+ hours) are designed to help you prepare for a specific certification exam. These are comparable to Pluralsight certification paths, covered later in this article.
- Shorter courses (around two hours) are focused around a specific topic. These are most comparable to Pluralsight’s video courses.
Pluralsight courses
Pluralsight courses are anywhere between a few minutes and a few hours long. Courses are divided into modules, and each module contains video clips. Like quizzes in ACG, learning checks in Pluralsight are quick assessments between modules to help you check your knowledge throughout the course.
Unlike ACG courses, Pluralsight courses typically don’t include labs or practice exams—this content exists separately. This means you can curate your own collections of video, lab, and exam content through the channels feature to customize your own learning journey. There are a few courses—including many migrated from ACG—that do feature in-course labs and practice exams.
Use the search bar in Pluralsight to find video courses, and see our Video courses article to learn more about video content.
Migrated video content
ACG video courses are being migrated to the Pluralsight library as either Pluralsight courses or Pluralsight certification paths. This includes the ACG Original Series, which we’ll continue to produce on a regular basis and which you’ll find in the path New in the Cloud (opens in new tab).
There are some exceptions to this migration:
- ACG’s Google Cloud Platform (GCP) content will be retired and won’t be migrated to Pluralsight. This is because the Pluralsight library includes GCP content authored by Google Cloud themselves.
- Some ACG courses have been retired in favor of more current or relevant material on Pluralsight. Learn more about our approach to retiring content.
While we still have customers on ACG, we’re also keeping the ACG course library up-to-date by republishing new versions of existing course topics. However, courses about new topics are no longer being published on ACG. You’ll find our newest video courses on Pluralsight through our public catalog (opens in new tab) or in the platform from the Browse page (opens in new tab).
Hands-on content
ACG hands-on experiences
The hands-on content and features available on ACG include:
All these experiences and their associated content have been rebuilt on Pluralsight. See the plan comparison for more details.
Pluralsight hands-on experiences
In addition to the features you’re already familiar with, migrating to Pluralsight grants you access to additional labs and sandboxes for hands-on learning on topics like software development, data, IT ops, security, and Google Cloud. See Labs overview and Sandboxes for details about these features.
Learning paths
ACG learning paths
Learning paths in ACG are collections of courses and labs curated by ACG’s content experts. Custom learning paths for Business Plus organizations are lists of content curated by admins and team managers on a plan that can be assigned to learners.
Pluralsight paths and channels
Like ACG’s learning paths, Pluralsight’s paths are collections curated by Pluralsight’s authors and experts. Many paths are aligned with proficiency levels, meaning you can take a Skill IQ assessment to determine the correct path for your skill level. There are also certification paths, which we’ll discuss later in this article.
Instead of custom learning paths that leaders can create, Pluralsight has channels. Channels are customized playlists of content that anyone can create.
If you’re on a team plan, you don’t have to be an admin or manager to create these—learners can create their own channels as well. You can share channels within your organization and track learners’ channel completion through analytics.

Certification prep and practice exams
Certification prep in ACG
- Certification prep courses in ACG are courses that contain a mix of lessons, quizzes, and practice exams. These are designed to help you prepare to take a specific exam, and are most similar to Pluralsight certification paths (discussed below).
- Practice exams in ACG simulate the online test-taking experience of a certification exam with multiple-choice questions. These exams will be migrated to Pluralsight.
Certification prep in Pluralsight
-
Certification paths (opens in new tab) are curated by Pluralsight’s content experts and designed to help you work towards a certification. Some paths will include one or both types of the following practice exams:
- ACG practice exams will be recreated on Pluralsight in 2025. We’re migrating exam questions from ACG to build a new, native practice exam experience. Due to differences between the platforms, the exams won’t be identical, but the experience will be similar to ACG.
- On Pluralsight, you also have access to 150+ additional practice exams courtesy of CyberVista. These are timed exams with additional question types beyond multiple choice, such as multi-answer, fill-in-the-blank, and flashcards. You’ll find these exams in certification paths.
- You also have access to the Certification prep center (opens in new tab), where you can keep track of your progress towards a certification. Learn more about the Certification prep center.
